A real person reads these. Email is the fastest way to reach us.
We aim to reply within two working days. There is no contact form, because a form here would have to send your message to a server — and the whole point of this site is that it does not have one handling your text.
Reporting a wrong count
These are the most useful messages we get, and we do fix them. To investigate a count we need:
- the text itself, or a short extract that reproduces the problem;
- the number you expected and the number you got;
- what you compared it against, if anything (Word, Google Docs, another site); and
- your browser and operating system.
Before writing, it is worth checking how we count: theword counter page documents exactly what counts as a word, and thesentence counter page explains where a sentence ends. Small differences from Word are normal and expected.
Requesting a tool
Tell us what you are trying to do rather than the feature you have in mind — it usually leads somewhere better. Tools that can run entirely in the browser are the ones we can build, and the ones we prefer, because they keep your text on your device.
Privacy questions
Answered in detail in the privacy policy. If something there is unclear, ask — an unclear privacy policy is a bug.
Advertising and business
For advertising, partnerships or anything commercial, use the same address with “Business” in the subject line.
