Getting a good result
- Shoot straight on. An angled photo of a page curves the lines and costs accuracy.
- Light it evenly. Shadows across the text read as smudges.
- Crop to the text. Photos, logos and page furniture become stray “words”.
- Prefer screenshots. Text captured from a screen is recognised almost perfectly.
