Between copies

Repeated text

Your repeated text appears here.

Runs in your browser. Your text is never uploaded.

How the text repeater works

It joins the number of copies you ask for, with your chosen separator between each one. Turn on Number each copy to start each line with 1., 2., 3. and so on, which is useful for building a numbered list to fill in.

There are two limits: 10,000 copies, and one million characters in total. A very long phrase therefore stops sooner than a single letter. Very long results show a shortened preview, but Copy result always copies everything.

What it is for, and what it is not for

It is for fun and for formatting: a birthday message full of balloons, a line of dividers, a block of sample entries to test how a form or a database copes with repeated or very long input, or a template list to fill in.

It is not for spamming people. Pasting the same message again and again into chats, comments or reviews annoys the people who receive it, and platforms treat it as spam: repeated messages are a common reason for accounts to be muted, rate-limited or banned.

Frequently asked questions

How many times can I repeat text?
Up to 10,000 copies, or one million characters in total, whichever comes first. Past that, a single text box gets slow enough to freeze a browser tab, and most apps would refuse to accept the text anyway. If you hit the limit, the tool tells you how many copies it made.
Can I put each copy on its own line?
Yes. “New line” is the default. You can also separate copies with a space, a comma, nothing at all, or your own separator. In a custom separator, type \n for a line break.
Can I repeat emoji?
Yes. Emoji repeat like any other text, and the character count treats each emoji as one character.
Is it OK to send repeated messages?
Only to people who will enjoy it. Flooding a chat, a comment section or someone’s inbox with repeated text is spam: most platforms detect it and may mute, limit or ban the account that sends it.
